Carolyn believes that our current life seasons do not have to remain the same and that every individual is capable of growth. Through utilizing a strong therapeutic relationship, Carolyn hopes to help individuals come to understand their circumstances and emotions. Recognizing that life is full of ups and downs, Carolyn values the ability to slow down and process our experiences.

The counseling relationship is at the heart of what Carolyn does. She works from a humanistic approach and strives to build a trusting bond with each individual client. Carolyn has experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, sports performance concerns, grief, identity, life transitions, body-image concerns, and autism spectrum disorder. She is LGBTQIA-affirming and welcoming of all backgrounds.

Carolyn graduated with a Masters in Counseling from Western Michigan University after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Grand Valley State University. As a former collegiate athlete, Carolyn hopes to break the stigma within the athletic community surrounding mental health. Carolyn will work collaboratively with you as you navigate your life circumstances. Counseling is a brave step towards healing and she is excited to begin the journey with you!
